SITEPULSE / INFORMATION & CAPABILITIES

Fewer unknowns. Better decisions.

A practical reference for the metrics you see in SitePulse.

What is LCP?

Largest Contentful Paint describes when the largest visible element in the initial viewport appears. A large image, slow server or blocking resources can delay it. Check which element was measured before changing images or cache settings.

What is CLS?

Cumulative Layout Shift describes unexpected movement of content. Common causes include images without dimensions, late fonts and inserted blocks. Reserve space for resources to keep pages stable.

What is CSP?

Content-Security-Policy lets a server restrict sources for scripts, styles and other content. An unsuitable rule can block required functionality. Build the policy around actual dependencies and verify it before broad deployment.

What does a partial score mean?

A partial score means one or more categories lack enough data and are excluded from the overall weighting. Performance may be missing without an active PageSpeed source. Compare category coverage as well as the overall number.

Lab and field data

Lab tests run under controlled conditions. Field data summarises observations from real visits when the source provides it. Differences can be normal and may reflect device, network, cache or measurement period.

How should I prioritise fixes?

First review availability and critical security configuration. Then assess the most severe, well-supported findings. Work in small steps, keep backups and measure again after changes.
